New York, July 1967. David has just lost his job and may soon be drafted. He decides to film his life in a video diary to finally understand himself. Day by day the camera records his apartment, his neighbourhood on the Upper West Side and the people around him - until filming everything starts to take over his life. A low-budget classic of fake documentary cinema, made decades before the found footage boom.
