Halloween night, 1977: talk show host Jack Delroy is desperate for ratings and plans a special live episode with a psychic, a skeptic and a parapsychologist who brings a girl she says is possessed. Presented as the recovered master tape of that broadcast plus behind-the-scenes footage, the film shows how the show slowly spins out of control in front of a live audience.
