Synopsis

Told as a documentary account, the film treats H.G. Wells' story as real history, recalled in a 1965 interview by Bertie Wells, the last living survivor of a war between Earth and Mars in 1900. Faux archive material and period scenes follow his desperate search for his wife as the invaders devastate the world.
